Long Description
==========================================
Short: ADT 2.1 Rel. 1.1 for AmiTCP 4+ (bugs fixed)
Uploader: fraggle@dcs.qmw.ac.uk (Stuart Sharpe)
Type: comm/tcp
This is the second release (1.1) of my port to AmiTCP of
Aminet Download Tool 2.1, which uses Amiga Curses by Simon
J. Raybould.
Changes since last release:
Fixed bugs:
- Should now work with TIA (untested)
- Makes more sense of ENV variables and more aware of Amiga
filenames. (No more 'couldn't create local file'...)
Added features:
- Environment variable ADTSAVEDIR tells ADT where to save its
.adtrc config file. Default is S:. For multi-user setups,
this can be set to HOME:
e.g.
setenv ADTSAVEDIR HOME:
- Generates password for anonymous ftp logins from your username
(via environment variable LOGNAME, set by AmiTCP), and your
hostname (obtained directly from AmiTCP). This can be
overridden by setting the environment variable ADTPASSWD.
e.g.
setenv ADTPASSWD fraggle@dcs.qmw.ac.uk
If ADT still doesn't work with TIA, or you find any other bugs, please
mail me and let me know. (Try and be as specific as possible when
reporting bugs - tell me exactly where it is going wrong, use SnoopDos
to see if any files are being written with wrong names, etc.)
Sorry I took so long to get this fixed version out, I've been too busy
revising for exams lately :-(
